Specialists in Rehabilitation Medicine is a busy and growing physical medicine and rehabilitation practice focused on non-surgical approaches to musculoskeletal injuries, traumatic brain injuries, stroke recovery and more. We are seeking experienced medical office assistants who are interested in growing their skills.
Candidates must have reliable transportation to facilitate work at any of our three locations in Commerce Township, Bloomfield Hills and Rochester. Once hired, a home office is determined and occasional coverage may be required at alternate locations.
Medical Assistant - Administrative will be responsible for:
- Utilizing a multi-line phone system, fax machine, printer, copier and scanner
- Register and schedule new patients with a high degree of accuracy
- Assess patient responsibilities and collect at time of service.
- Understand and explain insurance liabilities.
- Process medical records requests, incoming and outgoing.
- Act as a liaison between patients, facilities and the physicians to ensure patient care needs are met.
- Obtaining insurance authorization for procedures.
