Specialized Recruiting Group Northland & Downtown KC is currently seeking to fill an Accounting Specialist position near the KCI Airport.

Basic Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Follows company’s approval processes, procedures and internal controls related to Accounts Payable.
- Obtains proper documentation and approvals regarding invoice/expense report payments.
- Resolves purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation.
- Performs invoice/expense report analysis, entries, and control, and charges expenses to the correct General Ledger accounts.
- Monitors discount opportunities on vendor invoices.
- Processes payments, including checks, credit card and ACH payments.
- Reconciles vendor’s monthly statements to invoice transaction records.
- Files and maintains Accounts Payable records.
- Assist in month-end closing procedures and reconciliations.
- Reconcile bank statements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable: 3 years.
- Experience with MS Dynamics GP is necessary. Business Central is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
