Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides direct support to individuals with intellectual disabilities as defined in their Implementation Strategies working towards meeting our mission of providing a better quality of life for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
· Treats others with respect, courtesy and tact and promote an environment that encourages diversity and inclusion
· Provide direct care to meet physical, emotional, and behavioral needs of the individuals on and off site, in accordance to individuals Implementation Strategies (IS) and Behavior Support Plan (BSP)
· Supervise individuals on site and in the community, providing supports as needed and promoting skill development
· Provide safe transportation of individuals utilizing agency vehicles
· Assist in preparing meals in accordance to their dietary orders
· Provide timely daily and incidental documentation for services provided to supervisor
· Utilize the computer systems for data entry and electronic communication
· Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
· Maintain compliance with all agency policies and procedures

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
· Computer proficiency (Vertex/FileMaker/Gmail)
· High school diploma or GED requiredand the ability to read at an 8th Grade level
· Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
· Must complete Direct Support Person training within 120 days of hire
Physical Requirements:
· Safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
· Maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
· Must stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and lift and carry up to 50 lbs
· Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly in person and on the phone
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and peripheral vision
