What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Director of Operations position at Specialty Dental Brands?
The Regional Director oversees the operations of the practices at Specialty Dental Brands. The RD will provide leadership and guidance in a variety of areas such as patient relations, employee relations and working closely with the Vice President (VP), Office Manager and the Specialty Team (ST) to ensure they achieve their operational goals. RD is responsible for practices profit & loss by partnering with GM, OMs and STs to manage patient schedule utilization, staff productivity, collections, receivables, and controlling operations expenses. The RDs will report to the General Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee offices in the group.
- Provide leadership and guidance to OMs and STs and offices to ensure excellence in patient care.
- Manage/review EOD processes and KPI dashboard with OMs.
- HR/Payroll reviews with OMs.
- Build strong partnerships with partner doctors, OMs and STs and teams at the office level.
- Weekly meetings with OMs and STs in your region to review KPI’s and strategic initiatives and practice operations.
- Monitor revenue, collections, and costs & practice specific information for proper management.
- Ability to make effective operational decisions based on data analysis and other organizational resources.
- Active management and ownership of specialty level P&Ls to ensure growth and profitability.
- Recruit, hire, develop, and retain talent through training, coaching, office culture, and setting expectations.
- Effectively execute operational best practices, including compliance with established internal policies, OSHA, HIPAA, and other government regulations.
- Identify opportunities and challenges within the regions and create action plans to execute process improvements.
- Continuous development of OMs and STs.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of five (5) years management experience in multi-unit dental industries.
- Prior Dental Management experience
- Knowledge of CDT codes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong skills in fostering working relationships
- Must be able to travel within assigned regions.
