Job Description
Job Description: Powder Painter needed to work for company that has a GEMA Automated Paint System. Powder Painters are responsible for knowledge of machines; tools and paint used to paint and/or powder coat a variety of parts, components and structures. The Powder Painter is also required to have knowledge of the Traveler (work order) to determine the paint color for parts, components, and products as well as determine the required painting method.
Job Duties:
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including full air supply hood and body suit.
- Read work orders and analyze required paint operation.
- Perform hand spray paint techniques over a lengthy time span.
- Use a variety of hand tools.
- Paint in a flat, horizontal, vertical, down or overhead position.
- Examine products or work to verify conformance to specifications.
- Operate tow motor or hand cart to move product as needed.
- Operate bead blast machine on as needed basis.
- Maintain appropriate records and/or reports.
- Clean work area on regular basis.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Be comfortable with spray painting.
- Have ability to use painting equipment.
- Have ability to lift, carry, push or pull 20-50 pounds.
- Have ability to read blueprints and perform layout work.
- Have ability to exercise independent judgment.
- Have ability to read work instructions.
- Have ability to analyze and interpret data.
- Have good hand / eye coordination.
- Have manual dexterity.
- Be self-motivated (independent).

1. 8-Hour shifts (overtime may be required at times)
