The candidate should have strong experience in sales, preferably in healthcare. Only serious applicants should apply.
The Community Outreach Specialist:
- Under the direction of the Executive Director, develops and implements a regular structured program of contact and outreach to identify new referral sources and to maintain on-going relationships with private practice physicians, hospitals, home health agencies, nursing homes and long term care facilities.
- Determines primary decision makers and proactively builds positive, solid working relationships with those members of the medical community.
- Promotes and positions Specialty Hospice services through regular visits in a manner that illustrates and reflects the Specialty Hospice quality of care and unique capabilities.
- Works to build the Specialty Hospice brand as the preferred hospice provider in our service area through referrals, hospice education and exceptional service.
- To meet and exceed agency goals for growth and census management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Nursing Degree or related marketing/sales experience in health care.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate proficiency of Windows, Excel, Word and Power Point applications.
- Must have the ability to work closely with a variety of people while effectively using problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to speak publicly and engage an audience.
- Demonstrates an understanding of referral patterns in assigned service area.
- Demonstrates a willingness to learn Medicare regulations and related reimbursement issues for hospice, private physician and nursing/long-term care facilities.
- Must work productively as a team player within the agency and community.
- Must demonstrate a continued commitment to Specialty Hospice’s philosophy of care, values, mission statement and organizational culture.
- Must have reliable transportation, current driver’s license and auto insurance.
