OVERVIEW
Commercial print schedulers perform a critical role in the print production process. They gather specifications and estimates from SPC’s internal salesforce, interpret that information and coordinate with production teams to ensure that jobs are produced effectively, efficiently, on time and to customers’ specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Update daily print schedules based on production levels and forecasts
· Daily interaction with plant supervisors for production updates
· Review new job entries and enter confirmed information into press schedule
· Work with account management to track status of deliverables with daily reporting and updating
· Work with lettershop and digital department scheduling teams to coordinate jobs between facilities
· Develop and maintain master production schedules to meet customer demand
· Review job tickets and layouts to insure accuracy and determine the most efficient production plan
· Track job production and communicate any problems and changes to affected plant personnel and account manager
· Continually assists with process improvements
· Work with sales team and/or account managers to provide schedules for potential or existing projects
· Identify trends and patterns in production data, providing insights and recommendations for process improvements and cost savings
· Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum five years related print scheduling / production experience
· Intermediate computer skills required, with proficiency in Excel and Outlook
· Proficiency in print management software and scheduling tools (i.e. Monarch)
· Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and troubleshooting skills required to deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
· Possess comfort and flexibility to work in a fast paced, high volume environment under tight deadlines
· Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with individuals at all levels across the organization

A reasonable estimate of the salary for this role, at the time of posting, is $70,000 - $85,000. This range is specific to Chicagoland and multiple factors are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: skill set, experience and training, certifications: etc. This is an exempt position.
