Job Overview
The Human Resources Generalist partners with the Human Resources team to deliver timely, superior quality support and service to our customers within the business units. The Human Resources Generalist will produce high quality work in the most efficient and effective manner with attentiveness detail.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manages employment related inquiries from applicants, employees, and leaders, referring more complex matters to appropriate staff
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in Human Resources, talent management, and employment law
- Recommends and develops best practices to foster positive employer-employee relations
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions
- Executes, with accuracy, data entry for new hires, promotions, transfers, terminations, and other employee changes in ADP Workforce Now
- Conducts new hire orientation meetings to ensure all required documents are filled out correctly and in a timely manner
- Assists with the administration and tracking of workers compensation and other leaves of absence (e.g. FMLA, STD, and LTD)
- Collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for open positions
- Provides support for leadership and developmental skills training to front line supervisors and managers
- Assists in organizing and facilitating a variety of departmental and company activities
- Additional duties as assigned
Skills & Abilities:
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with a strong sense of urgency and follow up/follow through
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to take initiative, willing to learn, and take ownership of the position
- Must be able to interact with employees on all levels and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Knowledge of current and State and Federal employment/labor laws and HR Policies
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now highly preferred
Education & Experience
- 1-4 years of HR Generalist experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
