Summary of Responsibilities:
The Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with our most important clients, ensuring their success and satisfaction with our products or services. This role is key to driving long-term partnerships, maximizing customer value, and identifying opportunities for expansion across multiple accounts in assigned sector. Solution selling is an integral part of this role in order to be successful.
Duties:
- Develop and implement sales strategies for assigned segment.
- Lead segment group to meet and exceed STI sales targets
- Establish sales objectives and monthly, quarterly, annual sales quotas
- Create and implement sales plans
- Negotiate and close sales with targeted segment accounts
- Monitor and analyze sales targets and other performance metrics
- Provide regular reporting and updates to senior leadership on the status of accounts, progress toward goals, and opportunities for growth.
- Maintain, develop and coach sales staff of assigned sector group for performance success
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge
- Work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
Healthcare
- Vertical Sales Target: Key Healthcare Systems and Hospital Accounts
- ASHE and/or local healthcare industry membership
- Contacts within the healthcare industry fine tuned to hospital facility management personnel
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or Engineering
- Minimum three years’ experience in sales management having direct reports
- Minimum five years’ experience in outside sales
- Exposure and understanding of solution selling
- Excellent communication skills along with high comfort level of presenting to large groups.
- Ability to travel within the region, up to 60% of the time.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously.
- Experience in identifying and executing growth opportunities within existing accounts.
- Ability to build rapport with senior executives and stakeholders.
- Management and leadership mindset.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and use it to drive decision-making.
- Ability to mentor and coach STI sales team members.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) or other account management software
