What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Estimator/Purchasing Manager position at Spectra Infosystems Inc?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develop detailed budgets and specific territory budget templates
- Track Cost to Complete and assist in getting back on budget if there are variances
- Work with VP of Construction to assist on project management, quality assurance, and reviewing schedules for production.
- Train field personnel in material management, cost override controls, negotiations, and dispute resolution.
- Enhance the processes for the Purchasing/Estimating department
- Oversee all purchasing, and departmental reporting
- Manage current vendor relationships, and create new vendor relationships
- Negotiate best deals possible
