Description
To assist the Quality engineering function as technical support in issues affecting manufacturing. To support and drive corrective action. To support and drive for continuous improvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs a variety of qualitative or quantitative tests on samples, and to aid in the maintenance and certification of test equipment and apparatus to ensure compliance.
* Create measurement programs for automated CMM machine. Designs multi-unit fixturing for CMM tool.
* Assures gauges are within the current calibration cycle. Maintains calibration system and records
* Collects and analyzes data using statistical analysis methods.
* Produces First Article Inspection reports for customers and reviews First article inspection reports from Suppliers.
* Assist Quality Engineers with follow up on the execution of Non-conformance and RMAs
* Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as needed, based on the evolution of the company and the requirements of the department/position.
Qualifications
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE: High school degree or GED certificate and 1 – 3 years experience or AA degree.
Experience with measurement equipment and microscope use.
* Use of some judgment and the making of minor decisions in carrying out instructions following prescribed routines, methods and procedures
* Requires the use of simple arithmetic(addition, multiplication, calculated averages) and ability to compile statistical reports and
* Basic knowledge of reading mechanical drawings, measuring and test equipment and
quality calibration processes.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: MATHEMATICAL/ANALYTICAL SKILLS: Commensurate with the requirements under education/training/experience, above.
