Job Description
Fire Protection Engineer providing fire protection programmatic implementation support at various NNSS and NLV facilities. Deliverables fire protection assessments, fire hazards analysis, fire risk assessments, preparing equivalencies & exemptions, design reviews, procedure reviews, life safety code analysis, system walk-downs, and other duties as assigned.
Must have experience with DOE facilities and fire protection in nuclear facilities. Must have good analytical capability to resolve complex fire protection issues with code interpretation, applicability, and implementation. Must have experience with Notifier voice fire alarm and detection, hybrid fire extinguishing systems, fire hazards analysis preparation per DOE-STD-1066, and experience in fire protection with underground facilities. BS/MS in Fire Protection Engineering with optional NICET certifications.
