Position Overview
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will serve as the primary engineering resource on-site, responsible for supporting daily operations while also playing a critical role in process improvement and product evolution. This position bridges tactical support with strategic vision—ranging from maintaining design documentation and resolving production issues to spearheading cost reduction efforts and standardizing components across the product portfolio.
You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, lend technical expertise to customer-facing departments, and contribute meaningfully to product development and long-term innovation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage accurate engineering documentation, drawings, and part records in the ERP system.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues through root cause analysis, hands-on testing, and repair support.
- Evaluate and refine existing product designs to reduce cost, increase manufacturability, and enhance performance.
- Lead initiatives to standardize components across product lines, improving efficiency and reducing inventory complexity.
- Work cross-functionally with departments including Production, Sales, Customer Support, Quality, and Purchasing.
- Provide technical guidance on product capabilities and recommend custom solutions based on customer needs.
- Identify alternative components and materials that lower costs or improve supply chain reliability.
- Ensure engineering work aligns with quality standards, regulatory compliance, and customer expectations.
- Champion lean manufacturing principles and support continuous improvement programs.
- Collaborate in cross-functional planning meetings to align timelines, project goals, and process improvements.
- Assist with new product launches, legacy updates, and R&D activities that support future product development.
- Maintain organized records of engineering changes, testing, and improvement outcomes.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field (required).
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or mechanical product environment.
- Strong background in CAD design, documentation practices, and engineering change control.
- Proven success troubleshooting mechanical systems and implementing design changes.
- Skilled in cross-functional collaboration, project coordination, and process optimization.
- Ability to think analytically and approach challenges with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Self-starter with strong time management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience with lift systems or material handling equipment is a plus.
- Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Salary : $110,000 - $130,000
