Role : Digital Production Manager / Marketo Platform Manager
Duration : 10 months
Location : Austin, TX 73301, or Lone Tree, CO 80124
Position Type : On-site 5 days a week.
Pay Rate : $55 / hr on W2, maximum $58 / hr on W2.
Position Overview :
The role is situated within the Data-Driven Communications department under Marketing at client. The team’s primary responsibility is the ownership, administration, and functionality of Marketo . The platform supports all B2B marketing across six Marketo instances for eight separate business lines.
Team Structure & Responsibilities :
Marketo Administration : My team handles platform administration, data management between Salesforce and Marketo , and the setup of all Marketo-related configurations . This includes day-to-day tasks such as managing email templates and landing pages.
Integration & Implementation : We are responsible for new implementations and integrations within Marketo, as well as managing integrations with other platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Workato, Alteryx, ON24, etc.). Integrations that extend beyond Marketo are managed in collaboration with our technical teams.
Platform Support : My team ensures Marketo is running smoothly, setting up and managing various platform configurations, handling new fields, API setups, and webhooks. We also support ongoing admin tasks and troubleshooting.
Collaboration : We closely work with other teams (e.g., Campaign Management) to ensure smooth platform functionality and to assist in building solutions using HTML , CSS , and velocity scripts .
Key Tasks :
Build and maintain email templates and landing page templates .
Support Marketo email coding and troubleshoot issues related to templates and integrations.
Work closely with technical teams for integrations outside of Marketo (e.g., Workfront, Workato).
Provide data query support and integrate with tools like Alteryx and data warehouses .
Serve as a hands-on lead for platform enhancements within Marketo.
Skills & Experience Required :
HTML / CSS knowledge for building and maintaining templates.
Familiarity with velocity scripts and Marketo email coding .
Strong understanding of data management —ability to write queries and troubleshoot issues.
Experience with webhooks and API integrations —particularly setting up webhooks within Marketo and working with external platforms like Workato .
Exposure to other marketing automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud , Eloqua , Pardot ) is highly beneficial.
Team Dynamics :
The team is small, with only two and a half members, which requires flexibility and the ability to wear multiple hats.
The role is very hands-on with technical tasks inside the Marketo platform.
You will be expected to be involved in both platform administration and technical integration work.
The team uses Agile methodology and operates via Jira for task management.
Expect to interact regularly with multiple teams, particularly Salesforce and Campaign Management teams.
Interview Process :
The first interview will be conducted by the team lead, followed by one to two additional interviews with a director or another team member.
Timing & Expectations :
Candidates will need to be available for interviews as early as possible .
Additional Notes :
While the team is small, each member is a jack of all trades and involved in both high-level technical strategy and day-to-day platform administration.
The role requires someone who is adaptable and can work across both technical and functional aspects of Marketo and related integrations.
Salary : $55 - $58
