What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mailroom Clerk position at SPECTRAFORCE?
Title: Mail Services Specialist
Hours: M-F, 8-5 pm
Location: New York, NY
Duration: 4 months, possible extensions.
Pay Rate: $31.99/hr.
Pre-screening Questions:
- Do you have previous experience working in a mailroom? If so, please describe.
- How have you used the MS Office Suite in your daily tasks? Please describe your experience.
Resource's typical working day:
- Deliver mail, packages, copy products and stationery to assigned group/location per daily schedule.
- Ensure that all packages received/delivered are shipped and/or delivered same day, or alternatively consignee with be advised of next day delivery.
- Light concierge work which includes restocking items and pantry work.
- Standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds are requirements of this role
- This role is safety first and service to client second.
- Will be working around senior leadership
Years of Experience needed:
- Around 5 years exp preferred
Level of Education:
- Required HS Diploma/GED
Systems/Software proficiencies:
- Microsoft Office
Top Must have Skills:
- Previous Mail room experience
- Office mail room preferred.
Top Nice to have Skills:
- Reprographics Experience (posters and signage)
Safety:
- Complete at a satisfactory level all required and assigned HSE training
- Follow all activity policies and procedures, including all HSE related requirements at all times
- Participate in all HSE related programs & activities as required, including incident investigations, interviews, auditing, and assessment, etc.
- Report any condition which you feel could result in an accident or injury and / or stop work if required
In Addition:
- Be aware of and understand all safe work practices and procedures and potential hazards associated with the work environment
- Maintain and wear at all times required appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Apply appropriate material handling techniques at all times,
- Only operate warehouse equipment and machinery (e.g. pallet jacks, manlifts, etc.) if properly trained, qualified, and authorized to do so
