Overview
Spectrum Academy is a premier Charter School that specializes in working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Approximately 80% of our student body receives Special Education services. Our classrooms are a hybrid of mainstream and resource models found at typical schools.
The Human Resources Assistant may be the first point of contact for the school with new employees and projects our culture and values.
Responsibilities
Assist the HR Specialist/HR Group with the following:
- The recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews
- Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy
- Facilitate employee onboarding and orientation processes to ensure a positive experience for new hires which may include meeting with new hires, distribution of keys, badges, inputting employee information into Skyward, etc.
- Direct employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and benefits while fostering positive employee relations to the HR Specialist/HR Group as needed
- Document tracking for various HR responsibilities including workers compensation claims, onboarding and training, annual training, etc.
- Calendar maintenance
- Inventorying as needed
- Attend meetings/be available to cover the office when HR Specialist is unavailable
- Other tasks as assigned by Human Resources
Qualifications:
- Must possess knowledge of office management techniques and practices
- Must have experience with computer based office systems, including Microsoft and Excel, and be willing to learn additional software programs including but not limited to Skyward.
- Able to work in both an office setting that can vary between sedentary and active depending on daily tasks
- Understand and practice confidentiality practices
Preferences:
Previous experience in an office setting
Salary range: Starting at 16.50 and commensurate to previous experience

Pay: From $16.50 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 37.5 per week
