Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the development and implementation of individualized plans to meet the occupational therapy needs of students.
- Providing direct occupational therapy interventions, including activities designed to promote functional skills and independence.
- Collaborating with education staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom setting, providing guidance on strategies and accommodations to support student success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in occupational therapy or a related field.
- Licensed as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or currently in the process of obtaining certification.
- At least 2 years of experience working with students with special needs, preferably in a school-based setting.
