POSITION SUMMARY:
Will work closely with the RN and Executive Director to perform duties as delegated.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Administering medications as ordered by the doctor, completing treatments and cares.
- Assisting residents with ADL's
- Working closely with nursing staff as a team and support others
- Follow care plans.
- Mentor new staff and RA's, being a good role model.
- Complete medication orders, re-fills and overall medication oversight for the clients in our care
- Supervisory visits, chart audits and general nursing practices as required by our Medicare Comprehensive License, and Company policies.
- Receiving and addressing phone calls, walk-ins, and general inquiries.
- Conducting tours.
- Assist supervisor to determine appropriate staffing needs. Coordinate scheduling and preparing payroll for approval as directed.
- Participate in recruitment and hiring process; Set up files for new employees, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed and forwarded to appropriate areas in a timely manner. Maintaining personnel files.
- Receive all petty cash receipts; track petty cash expenditures and submit Petty Cash Report and receipts for reimbursement on a monthly basis.
- Prepare deposit report and deposit ticket for checks received. Copy checks and deposit them into the bank as directed.
- Prepare reports and complete clerical duties and filing in an accurate and timely manner; utilize Eldermark, Kronos, Educare or other available technology following established policies and procedures.
- Under the direction of the manager, order promotional material and/or office supplies as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Licensure as a License Practical Nurse in the State of Minnesota
- Must be professional, and mature to work effectively and respectfully with staff, managers, executives and others with a variety of working styles to achieve accountability and results.
- Experience serving those with Alzheimer's or related dementias is beneficial.
- Assisted Living and/or homecare experience is preferred.
- Excellent computer skills to navigate electronic documentation.
