Job Description
The Outpatient Nurse is responsible for administering medication to clients, educating them on medication-assisted treatment, and verifying medication orders with physicians. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary setting.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Must be a Massachusetts Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN).
- Must have a current CPR certificate or obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
- Must display the use of appropriate independent judgment to determine the course of action in resolving problems and emergencies.
- Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary, culturally diverse setting.
- Experience in substance abuse/mental health field or acute care inpatient healthcare environment preferred.
