JOB SUMMARY
The Runner at Spectrum Killian Dental Lab Alliance (SKDLA) is an entry-level position responsible for supporting the daily operations of the dental lab. This role focuses on assisting management and team leads by locating, organizing, and transporting cases within the lab to ensure efficiency and workflow continuity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Locate and track dental cases within the laboratory to ensure they are processed in a timely manner.
- Transport cases between different departments in the lab as directed by team leads or management.
- Assist team leads and management with organizing cases and maintaining workflow efficiency.
- Perform basic clerical tasks related to tracking and recording case movement within the lab.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment, ensuring cases are stored and handled properly.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of cases as needed for daily lab operations.
- Report any issues or delays in case processing to team leads or management promptly.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth case handoffs.
Other Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the lab’s operational needs.
Knowledge and Abilities Required
· Basic understanding of organizational processes and workflows.
· Strong attention to detail to ensure cases are accurately located and delivered.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team.
· Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks as directed.
Nonessential Skills and Experience:
· Previous experience in a dental lab or similar environment is a plus but not required.
· Familiarity with basic inventory tracking or organizational systems.
