The Human Resources Manager is responsible for companywide administration of policies and human resource programs : All payroll functions, Team member relations, compensation, benefits, training, HRIS, New hires / Terminations / Orientation.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for processing payroll on a biweekly basis in compliance with all Federal and IL laws.
- Responsible for weekly payroll timecard reviews for all team members, updates / processes on a daily basis, or as needed, including but not limited to, terminations, reassignments, promotions and demotions.
- Responsible for monitoring and maintaining activity in the time and attendance system; ensures supervisors approve weekly timesheets, review timesheets entries for time adjustments.
- Support managers, supervisors / team members on policies, procedures / practices pertaining to human resources & benefits.
- Ensure maintenance of applicable plant policies, procedures, documents related to Human Resources (i.e. job descriptions, work rules, etc.)
- Support team member functions & activities (i.e. picnics, holiday parties, etc.).
- Ensuring the Company is in compliance with all applicable statues and regulations governing team members (including without limitation, the American with Disabilities Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Fair Labor Standards Act, OSHA requirements with respect to posters, notices, announcements, and any other matter concerning compliance.
- Enters new hires and temporary team members into HR system. Including the distribution of team member ID badges, key fobs, new equipment, etc..
- Responsible for team member relations investigations.
- Answers routine inquiries related to payroll, timekeeping benefits, and HR policies and procedures.
- Verifies unemployment insurance claims and refers exceptions to the Sr. Leadership.
- Provides team members with necessary HR forms for payroll deductions, wellness subsidy reimbursement, beneficiary change forms, and name and address change forms. Initiates appropriate changes with payroll department and / or benefit carriers.
- Provide support in creating staffing reports for departments as needed.
- Responsible for new hire enrollment processes : ie : benefits enrollments and I-9 Verification, proper tax documentation collection.
- Responsible for internal / external new hire orientation to include : entering all new hire documentation into HR system accurately and timely
- Oversee the off-boarding process including : preparation of termination paperwork, scheduling and conduction the exit interview, notifying team member of COBRA rights, if applicable, preparation of final paycheck, audit and close team member file, and make necessary changes in computer systems.
- Assist as needed and perform all other duties as assigned.
