What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Department Lead position at SPECTRUM?
At Spectrum, we are committed to providing our customers with exceptional service and support. As a Sales Department Lead, you will play a key role in achieving this goal by overseeing the day-to-day activities of the sales department.
You will be responsible for meeting and exceeding sales goals, which includes supervising a team of sales representatives and managing other sales resources as assigned. You will recruit, interview, hire, and train sales representatives to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their roles.
You will support sales staff with approximately 70% field work and 30% office work, communicating territory assignments to representatives and monitoring the payroll process to ensure timely and accurate commission payments.
You will handle employee relations issues, including performance appraisals, coaching, safety training, and other related matters. You will assist with budget preparation and provide input on marketing issues and sales offers, performing other duties as requested by your supervisor.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- A bachelor's degree in business or marketing, or equivalent experience
- Sales experience of 1 year and sales supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge of community sales practices and telecommunications and cable industry experience
