WHAT OUR SOFTWARE DEVOPS ENGINEERS ENJOY MOST

• Apply Linux administration background to troubleshoot and solve difficult and interesting problems.
• Apply advanced scripting knowledge using any combination of Bash, Python, or JAVA
• Understand and apply your advanced experience with Infrastructure-as-Code to build and maintain highly available and fault tolerant systems and applications
• Understand applicable technology security and industry regulatory and legal compliance considerations.
• Utilize your working knowledge of distributed computing systems to design, build, and maintain enterprise solutions.
• Respond to on-call queries in collaboration with an offshore team to provide 24/7 support
• Contribute to technical requirements and technical design documents.
• Collaborate with other team members to identify and solve technical problems.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation.
• Further your working knowledge of technologies such as Elasticsearch / OpenSearch, NiFi, and ArcGIS
• Ensure legal, regulatory, process, and security compliance of the code contributed to their application.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

Required Qualifications

• Experience:
• Database Management Systems – 1-3 years
• Coding, testing, and designing software – 1-3 years
• Software Development Methodologies – 1-3 years

• Education:
• BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Technical skills:
• Demonstrated knowledge of one major programming language/tool
• Demonstrated knowledge of coding language and syntax, usage of functions and object-oriented patterns
• Knowledge of environments, docker images, container runtimes, and cloud native app development
• Knowledge of dependent systems, e.g., up/downstream APIs, clients, data stores, CI/CD Pipelines
• Knowledge of design patterns and frameworks

• Skills:
• Showcases Project / Feature level work to their team and technical leadership
• Basic negotiation skills
• Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action

• Abilities:
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Ability to work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors
  • Ability to apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues
  • Ability to work under general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments
  • Ability to break down assigned projects into manageable tasks and completes within a given timeframe
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively without oversight
