Spee Dee Delivery is a family owned and operated company that was started in 1978 by Donald and Sylvia Weeres. Our core business is in standard, next-day, ground delivery. The corporate headquarters and main sort facility is located in St. Cloud, MN. We currently employ over 1,800 employees company wide and over the years have expanded throughout the Midwest.
Job Summary
The Accounts Specialist will handle special manifests for the Accounts Receivable department on a daily basis.
Hours and Wages
- Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-4:00PM
- $20.00-$22.00 per hour, based on experience
Duties and Responsibilities
- Enter special account manifest data into billing system using a 10-key keyboard
- Enter old manifests, LTL accounts, and other irregular account data
- Verify cost by analyzing weight and package content
- Copy shipping sheets for Accounts Receivable
- Contact shippers to obtain proper paperwork
- Correct any errors to ensure accuracy
- Assist customers and drivers with questions via telephone
- Transfer manifests to receptionists as they are completed
- Run reports for management as needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of basic computer skills
- Proficient with a 10-key keyboard
Education and Experience
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Knowledge of company shipping procedures is necessary
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and answering the phone
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
