What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Specialist position at Spee-Dee Delivery Service?
At Spee Dee Delivery Service, we are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Specialist to join our team. As a Transportation Specialist, you will be responsible for operating a tractor-trailer combination or straight truck to transport parcels between terminals. The ideal candidate will possess a valid CDL Class A driver's license and have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
The successful candidate will be required to conduct pre-trip inspections before driving to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order. Additionally, they will be responsible for maintaining all required certifications required by DOT and company safety policies.
We offer a competitive salary of $23.00-$27.00 per hour, based on experience, as well as a shift premium of $2.00 for start times between 5:00pm - 4:59am.
