Position Summary
This position will serve as coordinator for all public utility involvement within the Regional Project Development, Technical Services, and Systems & Operations units. The incumbent will serve as a Regional technical consultant and advisor to project personnel, supervisors, and management on utility issues. Coordinate the adjustment or relocation of public and/or private utilities to accommodate highway improvement projects and related right-of-way requirements. Review Regional highway plans, contracts, and special provisions related to utility involvement. Coordinate, review, and approve utility companies’ relocation plans and negotiate all utility agreements for compensable utility relocations.
The employee in this position continually and regularly works independently and exercises personal discretion, judgment, and decision-making in daily work activities, including high level contacts with the public, government officials, and railroad management. The consequences of decision-making are significant in terms of impacts of budgets and the Regional schedule and program. This position operates under the most general level of supervision.

Salary Information
This position is in schedule-range (14-13) with an annual salary of $67,746 - $87,360, plus excellent benefits. A twelve month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.
Job Details
This position will require the ability to travel independently.

This position offers a hybridized work schedule. The position will be headquartered at and required to work from one the HQ locations listed above for at least 2 days per week. Qualifications
Qualified applicants will have experience with all the following:
- Experience managing multiple project schedules to ensure timely and successful completion. Responsibilities may include tracking progress, developing work schedules for staff, participating in production and critical project meetings, identifying and resolving issues to maintain schedules, conducting field inspections, and overseeing construction activities.
- Experience in transportation-related projects, encompassing areas such as contractor oversight during construction, utility coordination, design and construction processes, as well as interpreting plats for transportation or utility-based initiatives.
