Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences Disorders (Required)
- Hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech- Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) credential offered by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
- Hold a current Speech Language Pathologist license in North Carolina (or willing to obtain licensure)
- Educated and compliant with HIPAA regulations; maintains strict confidentiality of client information
- SLP-CF Applicants Accepted
Responsibilities
- Conduct various tasks/treatment interventions to assist clients with speech, language and other communication disorders.
- Conduct initial screenings as well as comprehensive evaluations in the area of speech and language to determine clients’ need for services or need of dismissal from services
- Design, develop, or employ alternative diagnostic or communication devices or strategies.
- Document client performance and report finding/information.
- Maintain all documentation required by the district and ASHA’s code of ethics including, but not limited to, daily notes, monthly summaries, and annual evaluations
- Assume supervisory responsibilities such as signing notes, completing SLP Assistant protocols, direct therapeutic training and supervision of the Speech Language Pathology Assistant (if applicable).
- Serve as mentor/supervisor for new graduate students in the Clinical Fellowship Year (if applicable).
- Have reliable transportation or be able to navigate public transportation in an efficient manner.
