About The Job
We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Manufacturing Engineer Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the Manufacturing Engineers in the group designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure the production of high-quality products. This role requires technical background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments.

Our good faith estimate of the salary range for this role is $26.47 to $29.34. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and other factors. In addition to base pay, we offer a highly competitive benefits package.
This position offers an onsite work model at Spellman High Voltage headquarters in Hauppauge, NY.

This role requires technical background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments.
What You Will Do:
- Process Optimization:
- Evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes to maximize efficiency and product quality.
- Support design workflow layouts and production lines that support lean manufacturing principles.
- Production Support:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting to resolve production issues.
- Analyze and optimize equipment performance, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Support initiatives to reduce waste, improve throughput, and enhance productivity.
- Equipment and Tooling:
- Specify and procure equipment, tools, and fixtures required for production.
- Ensure all equipment complies with safety and quality standards.
- Quality Assurance:
- Work closely with quality control teams to establish and maintain quality standards.
- Develop and implement inspection protocols to ensure product conformity.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of process parameters, equipment specifications, and production metrics.
- Prepare reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with production teams to ensure work instructions are followed
Education & Experience:
- Associate degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment (industry-specific experience preferred).
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and statistical process control (SPC), preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
