Position Highlights
Spencer Hospital is a rural hospital located in northwest Iowa employing over 500 employees. Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however, we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers, if accepted, are exclusively with Spencer Hospital.
Responsibilities:
- Run day to day operations of in-house Coffee Shop
- Daily opening and closing procedures
- Point of sale system to include cash handling and employee charging
- Balance/close out money drawer daily
- Make and serve drinks and food to order
- Inventory and purchase orders of supplies
- Perform sanitation processes in work area and customer area
- Engage in caring and professional communication
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Food industry and barista experience preferred
- Comfortable with point of sale systems including credit card and cash handling
- Customer service driven
Schedule:
- 80 hours per pay period
- Typically 8 hr shifts
- Coffee Shop Hours: 5:30a-3:30p - must be available to work up to 4pm
- Mon-Fri, closed on Weekends/Holidays
- Schedule may fluctuate based on the needs on the department
