What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staffing Recruitment Manager position at Spencer Ogden?
We're looking for a Staffing Recruitment Team Manager to join our Houston office and lead a small team of 3-4 Business Development Consultants within our Natural Resources (Oil & Gas) team.
MUST HAVE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT/SALES AND STAFFING AGENCY EXPERIENCE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive business development efforts using Spencer Ogden's methods:
- Cold calling target accounts
- Leveraging references for BD flips
- Identifying and managing interview leads
- Running effective marketing campaigns
- Job spotting
- Generate new accounts, aiming for 3 new clients per quarter in the Natural Resources sector
- Maintain detailed hotlists for prospective and active clients in our CRM
- Identify contract opportunities with pay rates over $70/hr and contract durations of over a year
- Lead the team in activity management, setting a strong example for performance and initiative
- Identify and recruit technical SMEs within the Natural Resources space
- Effectively communicate the benefits of contract work to candidates
- Screen candidates (via phone, Teams, in-person) to assess skills, experience, competency, and motivation
- Match candidates to client vacancies and submit in line with company process
- Write compelling job ads and promote to attract top candidates
- Create complex Boolean search strings to source talent
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in business development
- Proven track record in new business development
- Experience in Technical Oil & Gas recruitment
- Managed a book of 15 contractors within the Technical Natural Resources market
- Familiar with burdens, mark-ups, bill rates, NFI, spread, and margin calculations
