Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly experienced Divisional Vice President / Corporate Controller to oversee critical transaction heavy functions within our finance organization. This role requires a experinece professional with extensive expertise in financial management, process improvement, and leadership. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in finance roles, with a demonstrated track record of successfully leading and optimizing transaction heavy areas.

  • Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within areas of responsibility.
  • Implement initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Utilize data analysis and technology solutions to drive continuous improvement and automation.
  • Leadership and Team Management:
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Mentor and develop team members, empowering them to achieve their full potential and contribute to organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management to align financial objectives with overall business objectives.
  • Payroll Management:
  • Oversee all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain payroll policies and procedures to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to address payroll-related issues and implement best practices.
  • Sales Audit:
  • Lead the sales audit team in conducting regular audits of sales transactions, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Develop and implement audit procedures to identify discrepancies, errors, and fraudulent activities.
  • Work closely with sales and operations teams to investigate variances and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Cash Control:
  • Manage cash flow and liquidity by overseeing cash handling procedures and bank reconciliations.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent unauthorized transactions.
  • Monitor and analyze cash transactions to optimize cash management strategies and minimize risks.
  • Accounts Payable:
  • Direct the merchandise and expense payables functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
  • Evaluate existing workflows and controls with the objective of enhancing processes and optimizing cash flow.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • CPA or CMA certification highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in finance roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
  • Proven track record of success in process improvement and change management, preferably within a high-transaction volume environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial systems, processes, and regulations.
  • Experience in process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team management, coaching, and development.
