Unleash your creativity and passion for making a positive impact in the lives of youth who have experienced trauma. Spero Family Services is seeking a compassionate and dynamic Therapeutic Activities Coordinator to join our team. If you are driven by the desire to support youth in their healing journey through enriching activities that foster personal growth, social connections, and life skills, this is the opportunity you've been waiting for.

As the Therapeutic Activities Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in organizing and leading a variety of individual and group therapeutic activities, such as art, music, sports, physical activities, and volunteerism. Your creativity, energy, and dedication will provide a safe space for youth to explore new interests while supporting their emotional and therapeutic goals.

If you are passionate about helping youth grow activities, and possess the skills to create a positive, supportive environment, we invite you to join us in empowering the youth we serve and be a catalyst for their personal transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

Activity Development and Schedule: Create and schedule opportunities for recreational, therapeutic, and leisure activities for clients. Activities should focus on promoting physical/emotional well-being of the youth and promoting community integration and healthy boundaries. Duties may include:

Must have the strength/mobility needed to perform Therapeutic Crisis Intervention.

Miscellaneous: Must pass all pre-employment drug screens and background clearances. Must maintain driving clearances. Must be willing to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the program.

Program Population: The youth in these programs have a complexity of mental health issues/disorders. The intensity of these mental health issues warrants placement in a highly structured, supervised and safe therapeutic environment. The focus of the program is to provide crisis stabilization/management, behavioral management, and clinical treatment in effort to reduce the mental health disturbance and assist the youth in returning to a less restrictive setting.
