Role Description
This is a full-time position at SPERRY-Griffin Partners. The role involves advising and brokering Mobile Home Park, Multifamily, and RV Park deals across the US. Sperry-Griffin Partners' primary objective is to continue to build, from an already strong foundation, an advisory practice within the commercial real estate brokerage and mergers & acquisitions combined service base.
The candidate ideally will have a real estate license in the State of SC or a reciprocity state and experience in commercial real estate brokerage or business mergers and acquisitions. The candidate should also have a basic understanding of financial analysis, but most of all, the ability to develop new business and be willing to learn while working within a dynamic team of advisors and brokers. Candidates with experience in banking, financial planning, business management, or analytics are also encouraged to apply.
While the position is commission-based, following traditional commercial real estate practice, SPERRY-Griffin Partners will provide national inbound leads to the candidate, accelerating growth quickly and fostering internal support. The candidate will be part of the SPERRY national affiliate of brokers, stemming growth and cooperation around the US through the SPERRY network. SPERRY-Griffin Partners is led by Mark Griffin, a 20-plus-year commercial real estate brokerage and business brokerage/ M&A advisory veteran.
While the position is flexible, the candidate will work out of the firm's downtown Greenville, SC, office. Mr. Griffin is also the Managing Principal at Topsail Capital Advisors, a subsidiary company specializing in M&A Advisory, including business valuations, exit planning, and buy and sell-side advisory to privately held business owners throughout the Southeast and Midwest. Topsail Capital Advisors and SPERRY-Griffin Partners combine to make a unique opportunity in the commercial real estate space and business mergers & acquisitions sectors, which hotels and similar assets fall under.
Qualifications
- Communication and sales experience
- Degree in Business Management, Finance, or Real Estate a plus
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Knowledge of commercial real estate and/ or business M&A a plus
- Must have a real estate license or in the process of obtaining a real estate license in SC or a reciprocating state
