Environmental Health and Safety Manager

SPF America, LLC is currently hiring an Environmental Health and Safety Manager (EHS Manager) for our Fort Smith, AR location. We offer a family-oriented working environment and the ability to learn and grow within the organization. Please review the following details about the EHS Manager role.

Position Summary:

This position will support our facility in Fort Smith, AR. Successful candidates will have keen attention to detail, analytical problem-solving, and display a sense of urgency. The primary responsibility is ensuring SPF maintains a safe and environmentally-friendly workplace.

General Overview:

The EHS Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive programs to ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations within the SPF company. This position reports to the Plant Manager.

Duties:

· Identify potential hazards and mitigation activities.

· Conduct safety audits and provide solutions for improvement.

· Develop and conduct safety training for all employees.

· Investigate and document incidents and address deficiencies within the system.

· Promote a safety culture within the company.

· Maintain and file the necessary reports/documents for all reporting agencies.

Desired Skills & Experience:

· At least five years of demonstrated experience in the safety field.

· Demonstrated advanced communication and analytical skills along with organizational skills and great attention to detail.

· High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Plex ERP system.

· Proficiency to learn new systems and processes and be able to communicate effectively with team members from all levels of the organization.

· Excellent interpersonal, organizational, time management skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities.

· Proficient in making decisions and solving problems.

· Advanced degree or certifications in the safety programs.
