Simon Property Group is looking for a Cyber Security Analyst in the rapidly evolving security/network area. This challenging position is perfect for someone who has been dealing with Security and Infrastructure for a couple of years and wants to take their career to the next level. Challenges and Responsibilities:
- Design, configure and administer security-related systems and network controls that include, but are not limited to firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, network monitoring and cloud-based productivity solutions
- Monitor systems logs, from various security and network devices, collaboration solutions and network traffic for unusual or suspicious activity and take appropriate action.
- Implement, operate, and manage highly technical security analysis tools to assist with identification and remediation of security incidents or events
- Assist in defining security baselines across multiple tools and technologies to ensure security best practices
- Working with organization change management on employee awareness training and education
- Assist in implementing new information security products and policies
- Perform vulnerability and risk assessments on various environments and systems
- Continue to strengthen overall knowledge of security issues, technologies, and direction
- Effectively plan and manage assigned activities to meet objectives and schedules
Skills and Requirements
- In-depth technical knowledge of Microsoft platform operating/application systems, Microsoft O365 cloud environment, Cisco, Fortinet, and related security requirements
- Experience with hardware-based firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, TCP/IP Protocols, virus protection, and other security devices
- Familiar with the administration of Microsoft Active Directory
- Experience in the development of information security policies, intrusion response procedures, disaster recovery procedures, risk analysis, and administration of the operations of a security infrastructure.
- Experience with security standards such as ISO 17799, NIST, SOX, and PCI security standards.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to communicate technical and security-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff
- Security related certifications such as Security , CEH, GSEC, SSCP is desirable
Experience
- Requires 4-year degree or equivalent knowledge and experience in the Networking/Security/Infrastructure fields.
- At least 1 year of IT security experience with demonstrated responsibilities
