About Monarch E & S Insurance

Professional Ins. Executives/ Monarch E&S, a division of SPG Insurance Solutions (Monarch) is a rapidly growing, and successful P&C insurance wholesaler and managing general agency, our branch office is in Texas. This Monarch E & S Branch is one of many branches located across the country. We sell exclusively to retail agencies with a focus on small to mid-market E&S commercial and specialty personal lines risks.

About The Position

Responsible for managing, underwriting, and assisting our marketing team in promoting & sustaining profitable personal lines business growth.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain loyal relationships with insurance agents and brokers to create business placement opportunities
• Develop and maintain underwriting relationships with insurance carriers by demonstrating in-depth personal insurance knowledge and adherence to underwriting guidelines, both with E&S and Standard markets
• Recognize acceptable business opportunities through underwriting pre-qualification process
• Successfully negotiate market placements of new and renewal business
• Meet and sustain targeted revenue goals
• Coordinate resources to accomplish account specific objectives
• Assume ultimate responsibility for the successful completion of all account tasks and details on account portfolio
• Motivate and educate co-workers, blending leadership and technical skills

Education, Work Experience, & Knowledge

• Active Property and Casualty License required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience and knowledge considered
• Substantial and relevant experience in a personal insurance brokerage or underwriting environment including wholesale brokerage experience
• Demonstrated understanding of personal insurance coverages and relevant excess and surplus lines forms, understanding of both admitted and non-admitted markets
• Trusted working relationships with carriers and carrier underwriters
• Highest level of customer relations, sales management, and negotiation skills to generate profitable results
• Highest level of interpersonal skills to facilitate team building and resource management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Proficient in Carrier Rating Portals
  
  

Disclosure required under applicable state or municipality regulations: The expected salary range for this position is $45,000-$48,000, plus commission. This compensation will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
