This position is located in-person at our Escondido, CA. Location. Opportunity for flex Friday!
Compensation : 140,000 - $150,000
Responsibilities :
- Review engineering blueprints, specifications, and project documents to assess scope and requirements.
- Research and source materials, compare supplier pricing, and estimate total material costs.
- Calculate labor hours, factoring in skill levels, experience, and labor rates.
- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates, including materials, labor, permits, and overhead.
- Collaborate with design engineers, project managers, and contractors to ensure accurate estimations.
- Evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids to identify cost-effective solutions.
- Develop cost-saving strategies to optimize resources without compromising quality.
- Track project costs against initial estimates and adjust as needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to maintain competitive estimates.
