We are currently seeking an experienced Supervisor/Estimator to join our growing Electrical Division. This role requires a self-motivated, team-oriented professional with a strong work ethic and a commitment to quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have experience in project supervision, estimating, and electrical systems while maintaining a high level of integrity and leadership.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Project Management
- Oversee a team of electricians, ensuring effective task assignments and productivity.
- Train team members on new equipment, technologies, and safety protocols.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and site inspections.
- Evaluate team performance, provide feedback, and implement improvement plans as needed.
- Coordinate with other supervisors and managers to align electrical work with project timelines.
- Manage resources, ensuring necessary tools, equipment, and materials are available.
Estimating Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
- Develop and submit competitive bids for new projects.
- Define project scope and ensure accurate estimates based on project specifications.
- Conduct material takeoffs from drawings and specifications.
- Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers and vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Monitor project budgets and track actual costs against estimates.
Additional Duties
- Provide technical expertise, troubleshoot complex electrical issues, and ensure high-quality work standards.
- Maintain detailed records of estimates, project progress, and completed work.
- Communicate with clients to understand project needs, provide updates, and address concerns.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices to enhance efficiency and quality.
Experience & Requirements:
Candidates should have strong experience in project management, quality control, supervision, estimating, and material management. A detail-oriented mindset and the ability to handle multiple demands from both internal and external customers are essential.
Required Skills:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Excellent Attendance Record
- Ability to Read and Understand Blueprints
- Proficiency in Computer Skills (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Project Supervision & Estimating Experience
- Thorough Knowledge of Industrial Electrical, Control Wiring, and Motor Control Systems
