Warehouse Manager (Food Manufacturing)

Position Summary:

Spherion is seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with safety and inventory management standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in warehouse management, and the ability to optimize processes while maintaining high productivity levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Manage and lead warehouse staff, providing training, performance evaluations, and scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct periodic audits to reduce discrepancies.
• Coordinate with supply chain, production, and logistics teams to streamline operations.
• Implement and improve warehouse processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Operate or oversee the operation of warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Troubleshoot issues related to inventory management, order fulfillment, and logistics.
• Monitor warehouse performance metrics and develop action plans for improvement.
• Ensure proper maintenance of warehouse facilities, equipment, and security systems.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3-5 years of warehouse management experience, preferably in food manufacturing or a similar industry.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is a plus.
• Skills:
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems (WMS, ERP, etc.).
• Understanding of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety protocols.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment and troubleshoot operational issues.
