Spherion is seeking an adept sales and development leader for our partner in the Food and Beverage manufacturing industry in Louisville.

The Vice President of Sales will drive revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives while leading R&D efforts in developing innovative food and beverage products. This role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and works closely with the Executive Chairman to align sales efforts with company objectives.

The ideal candidate will have focused experience in acidified and shelf-stable foods, including jams, jellies, and sauces, as well as driving business development and strategic growth.

You'll work : 7AM - 4PM.

You'll earn : $100,00 - $125,000 / year with flexibility for experience, and opportunities for equity in the company upon hiring.Negotiable commission opportunities offered.

Responsibilities :

Lead and implement sales growth strategies to drive accretive revenue

Develop and manage comprehensive product development programs

Build and maintain key customer relationships

Oversee R&D functions from bench-top sampling to full commercialization

Manage sales team recruitment, training, and development

Direct product development initiatives with focus on FDA compliance

Analyze market trends and competitor activities

Oversee sales budgets and forecasting

Collaborate with QA Management on product functionality and process capabilities

Working hours : 7 : 00 AM - 4 : 00 PM

Skills :

Master's degree in Food Science

10-15 years of industry experience

Specific expertise in jams, jellies, and sauce product development

Experience with Schedule Process Authority requirements for acidified foods

Track record of successful product commercialization

Previous executive-level experience in food manufacturing

Background in both sales leadership and R&D management

Education : Bachelors

Experience : 10 years

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Sales / Marketing, Food Science, or related technical field

Minimum 10 years of experience in acidified and shelf-stable food production

Demonstrated proficiency in :

SQF, GFSI, and FDA regulatory requirements

Food and beverage chemistry

Nutritional labeling requirements and software systems

Microsoft Office Suite

Product formulation mathematics

Analytical and problem-solving skills

Verbal and written communication

Ability to travel up to 30% of time
