Overall Function
Responsible for completing all activities and assignments necessary to maintain the general repair and safety of buildings, equipment and grounds.
Essential Functions
- Will participate as a team with the maintenance personnel for the completion of all tasks.
- Perform a variety of skilled building maintenance including repairs to doors, windows and other building parts; construct or assemble furniture and other wood and metal structures.
- Makes plumbing, electrical and mechanical repairs as needed.
- Operates a variety of equipment and machines including saws, drills and other hand and power tools needed to perform repair and maintenance work safely.
- Assures that tools and equipment are properly maintained and kept in proper working order.
- Will maintain the general appearance of all facilities, including but not limited to trash removal, garbage and upkeep of landscaping.
- Snow removal and lawn maintenance.
- Paints room, hallways, and other areas as needed.
- Maintains inventory of supplies including receipt and distribution.
- Other duties as required.
- Adheres to all policies, laws, regulations and codes of ethics and confidentiality as outlined by federal and state laws, and agency policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Experience in building maintenance preferred, an equivalent combination of skills. experience, and education may be considered at the discretion of the agency.
- Possess specialized mechanical or maintenance training and/or skills.
- Ability to use a computer and any software associated with the position.
- Ability to complete minor/major interior and exterior labor-intensive projects such as dry wall, carpentry, flooring etc.
- Experience using and operating various tools and equipment.
- Available to work varied hours
- Must successfully obtain clearance from the PA State Police.
- Must not be excluded from participation in Medicare, Medicaid, or any other federal health care program.
