What are the responsibilities and job description for the Farmers Market Sales Representative position at Spice Pilgrim?
We are Spice Pilgrim, a local Tea and Spice company if you are outgoing, approachable, honest, good with people, have good communication skills, are self-motivated, responsible, able to multitask, and have some sales experience, Candidate must have your own reliable vehicle capable of carrying farmers market gear (tent, table, etc). Shifts involve loading up the gear in the morning and dropping everything off at the end of the day in Sunnyside Clackamas OR
This position requires:
- An early riser who is capable of working Saturdays/Sundays approx. 7:00 am-3:00 pm
- Travel: Valid driver’s license & a personal, insured vehicle with adequate, clean, covered space to carry all supplies for the booth including product inventory
- Ability to bend/lift up to 50 lbs., set up/tear down a 10 x 10 pop up tent, tables, booth display items per company provided details
- Stand for extended periods of time
- Be exposed to the outdoor environment including inclement weather
REQUIRED SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE/ QUALITIES
- Hold yourself accountable and getting the tasks done alone is a must
- Love interaction with people, be courteous, outgoing, and helpful
- Prior experience with gourmet food or being a passionate foodie
- Be able to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time
- Be punctual, reliable, and honest
- Have a reliable, large enough car and a smartphone.
- Basic understanding of math, being able to give exact change, etc
