About the Role
Spiegelworld is looking for a Model Cocktail Server to join the team at Absinthe at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The Cocktail Server is responsible for being attentive to our guest’s needs by taking orders, making recommendations, upselling, clearing tables, collecting payment, and resetting tables for the next service. Ultimately, you’ll help provide an exceptional guest experience by providing personable, attentive, and timely service. Successful Cocktail Servers assist with guest’s needs, present an elegant appearance and convey a warm and inviting attitude toward all guests of the show. This is a Steady Extra position and the schedule will be based on the team's needs and pays $14.37/hour. This position reports directly to the Food & Beverage Managers.
What You’ll Do
- Staying guest-focused and providing exceptional service by making a positive impression on the guest.
- Serving beverages, food, and amenities in all areas of the FOH to include the Tent, the Garden, and VIP areas
- Actively engage in our antiracist commitment and internal practices by participating in offered learnings, engaging in conversations around Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility, and helping us maintain a safe and welcoming workspace.
- Create a work environment which promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction.
- Participating in in-house modeling programs, special events, banquet events, social media marketing, and model/presenter tasks and promotions
- Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol. Maintaining awareness of all state laws pertaining to the sale and service of alcoholic beverages
- Ensuring proper set-up and maintenance of stations. Perform all aspects of opening and closing duties.
- Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register.
- Adhering to staff privileges and responsibilities
- Maintaining professionalism in both appearance and behavior at all times
- Adhering to seasonal uniform and appearance requirements.
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Spiegelworld policies, practices, and procedures
What You Bring
- Minimum of 2 years serving in a high-end bar or restaurant and a high school diploma or GED.
- Basic spirits, wine, and beer knowledge is necessary.
- Experience with cash handling and credit card transactions. The ability to use Toast is a plus.
- Positive, engaging personality, and professional appearance. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to enforce company policies regarding the consumption of alcohol
- Must be teamwork oriented and self-motivated
- Hazards may include, but are not limited to, slips, falls
- Effectively communicates verbally with staff, while reading, speaking, and fully comprehending English
- Comfortable improvising in the moment as part of the guest experience.
- Able to perform on all Position Responsibilities and Requirements.
- Must adhere to set schedules with the ability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Maintaining any necessary licensing and work cards required: TAM Card, Sheriff’s Card and Non-Gaming Card.
- Must maintain proper safety and sanitation standards.
- Must audition with a peculiar or unexpected talent
- Must be able to improvise at a moment’s notice when interacting with guests.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled/needed.
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Successful background check clearance prior to hire
- Must have valid work authorization for the US.
