POSITION OVERVIEW
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for developing and executing a detailed shipping plan for each order, coordinating all aspects of shipment preparation, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role includes planning, palletizing, coordinating with shipping providers, and communicating with customers as needed. Additionally, the Logistics Coordinator assists with estimating shipping logistics during the pre-sales process, providing insight into costs and requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Shipping Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive shipping plans that meet contractual requirements and ensure product arrives undamaged, in optimal configuration for customer use. Confirm that plans align with quality standards and customer expectations.
• Palletizing and Packaging: Perform and direct palletizing and packaging activities to secure products, protecting them from damage during transport. Utilize best practices to ensure safety, stability, and efficient use of space.
• Shipment Coordination: Coordinate shipments with carriers and freight partners, optimizing routes and delivery times to meet customer schedules and cost efficiency. Arrange domestic and international shipments in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Customer Coordination: Communicate with customers as needed to confirm shipping details, address special requirements, and ensure alignment with customer expectations.
• Estimation Support: Assist the sales team by providing shipping estimates, including projected costs and logistical considerations for prospective orders. Offer insights into packaging, special requirements, and potential shipping constraints.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all shipments meet the company's quality and safety standards, proactively identifying and resolving issues to prevent delays or damage.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes and efficiencies, sharing recommendations with the team and implementing approved changes to enhance workflow and reduce costs.
• Safety: Follow all safety protocols and company policies, ensuring a clean and organized work area to promote a safe manufacturing environment

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience in logistics, shipping coordination, or a related field within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Strong understanding of shipping methods, packaging requirements, and freight management.
• Ability to interpret contractual shipping requirements and develop detailed plans that meet those standards.
• Proficiency in palletizing and packaging techniques, with a commitment to quality and safety.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with customers, carriers, and internal teams.
• Analytical skills to estimate shipping requirements accurately and contribute to the pre-sales process.
• Ability to identify and resolve logistical challenges proactively.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The position works indoors and outdoors with exposure to moderate-to-loud noise, and occasional harsh weather conditions.
