SPIN Global is a Maryland-based public benefit corporation that exists to disrupt disasters from neighborhoods to nations. We are seeking qualified applicants to build a deployment-ready cadre, prepared to support response operations as opportunities arise. Applicants must possess a FEMA Entry on Duty (EOD).
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive plans for disaster recovery and resilience efforts.
- Conduct assessments and prepare reports to guide decision-making in disaster response and recovery projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives align with organizational goals and FEMA guidelines.
- Utilize FEMA's Grants Portal to manage documentation and ensure transparency in planning processes.
- Monitor and evaluate project performance, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Support the preparation of determination memorandums and appeals related to project planning and execution.
- Stay updated with FEMA training requirements, policies, and best practices.
Requirements
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience in disaster fieldwork or a field of expertise or
- Graduate-level degree or professional registration with 2 years of experience in disaster fieldwork or a field of expertise or
- 10 years of experience in disaster fieldwork or a related field without a degree.

- IS-1000: Public Assistance Program and Eligibility
- IS-1001: The Public Assistance Delivery Model Orientation
- IS-1002: FEMA Grants Portal - Transparency at Every Step
- IS-1004: The FEMA Site Inspection Process
- IS-1018: Determination Memorandums and Appeals
- 7116: Program Delivery Manager
- 7117: Site Inspection
- Strong knowledge of disaster recovery and resilience practices.
- Proficiency in project management and planning tools.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Work onsite in North Carolina.
- EOD Required.
