Reporting to the Sr. Director, Integrated Data Services, your central responsibility as the data architect will be to develop, optimize, and oversee Spin Master’s data structure and data relationships. Your focus will be to look across the global enterprise, evaluate our data sets and ensure we have structured our data assets properly and each data set relates to others to enable reporting and analytics. How will you create impact? Analyzing and translating business needs into technical specification “blueprint” that include data streams, integrations, transformations, databases that will translate to long-term solution data models. Working with the development team to create conceptual data models and data flows supporting and collaborating and coordinating with multiple departments, stakeholders, partners, and external vendors while mentoring data team members through training and individual support. Defining the data architecture framework, standards and principles, best practices for data coding including modeling, metadata, security, reference data, and master data. Define reference architecture for the data team while defining and implementing data flows and developing physical data models as well as updating and optimizing local and metadata models. Evaluating implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency while troubleshooting and optimizing data systems. Design and implement effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve company data and assess database implementation procedures to ensure they comply with internal and external regulations. Examine and identify database structural necessities by evaluating client operations, applications, and programming. Oversee the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions, evaluate systems and recommend solutions to improve new and existing database systems and review modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility. Explores the existing data structures and create a blueprint for building an integrated framework of easily accessible, secure data aligned with business strategy. What are your skills and experience? Hands-on experience with physical and relational data modeling Strong knowledge using Microsoft Synapse and Informatica Integration tools Expertise in SQL, GCP, NOSQL databases, predictive analysis, data visualization, and unstructured data mandatory Experience developing advanced data models within the Google BigQuery Data Warehouse technology and experience building end-to-end data piplines from various data sources to BigQuery Certifications for CDMP, TOGAF® or Big Data Architecture in asset The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in New York City is $130,000 to $180,000 per annum.
