Surgical Scheduler

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Surgical Scheduler to join a dynamic orthopedic group. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling surgical procedures for patients, ensuring seamless communication between patients, surgeons, and the surgical team. You will work closely with medical professionals to arrange pre-operative consultations, verify insurance coverage, and manage operating room schedules. Strong attention to detail, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule surgeries and related pre-operative appointments in collaboration with physicians, patients, and staff.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and surgical logs.
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding surgical preparation and post-operative care.
• Coordinate with hospital staff and surgical centers to ensure smooth scheduling and patient flow.
• Address patient inquiries, provide updates, and resolve scheduling conflicts as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in surgical scheduling, preferably in an orthopedic setting, is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and scheduling software.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
