What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intern, Test Automation position at Spirent Communications?
Job Responsibilities
Adapt the Spirent Security Automation testing process and technical approaches and guidelines.
Leverage the key technology areas needed for this project, Python, Robot framework and Selenium and develop automation test scripts.
Collaborate with Spirent Engineers and perform the project tasks for the Security Automation Test Automation tasks.
Participate in the Security Test Regression cycle, analyze the scheduled tests results, review, document, create reports.
Participate and contribute to requirements analysis, project documentation, test cases executions, prepare test reports, analysis of test results.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering / science, Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited university; master’s degree is preferred.
Knowledge in test automation development with a strong understanding of software development best practices.
Strong knowledge in Python to develop, debug, and execute test scripts.
Good knowledge of Linux / Unix scripting for test automation; capable of developing and modifying scripts.
Good knowledge in Robot Framework or similar test automation frameworks.
Proficient in Selenium or comparable frameworks for Web application automation.
Knowledge of Telecommunication concepts and Wireless Network technologies, particularly 5G.
Good knowledge in Kubernetes environment with knowledge of containers, node, pod and security configurations and knowledge of applications security.
Preferred understanding of Networking fundamentals, Network architecture, and Network topology.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
