The Technical Recruiter & Human Resources Coordinator provides essential candidate sourcing and screening expertise, and administrative and operational support to the HR Recruiting function at Spirit. Essential Job Functions
- Support the full-cycle recruitment process to fulfill hiring needs across diverse roles, including warehouse, laboratory, sales, purchasing, program management, finance, human resources, and marketing positions. This includes developing job descriptions and posting roles, sourcing and screening candidates, scheduling interviews with hiring managers and the CEO, preparing, extending and negotiating candidate employment offers, and managing background checks and reference processes.
- Assist with new hire onboarding, including preparing documentation, facilitating orientation sessions, and ensuring completion of required training and paperwork.
- Build relationships, working closely and consulting with leadership and teams at all organizational levels.
- Coordinate with Security department for employee badging and access requirements.
- Maintain accurate employee records within our HRIS, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Stay abreast of the latest recruiting trends and strategies and act as an internal consultant on market trends.
- Leveraging networks and partners with external parties to support a strong pipeline of qualified candidates.
- Partner with HR Manager on projects related to talent solutions.
- Support the maintenance of job descriptions and organizational charts.
- Assist with HR compliance tracking and reporting requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 2 years of recruiting experience in technical, engineering, or manufacturing industry, experience in aerospace & defense industry a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, industrial psychology, business administration, or related technical field
- Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems and/or Human Capital Management platforms such as Paylocity.
- Thorough understanding of recruiting methods and best practices, as well as applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Understanding of industry terminology and types of technologies used.
- Understanding of HR practices, policies, and procedures
- Knowledge of basic employment laws and regulations
- Basic understanding of benefits administration
- Knowledge of standard Talent metrics and reporting
- Basic understanding of security protocols in a defense industry setting
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Must be able to work in-office during regular working hours, Monday through Friday
- Experience in Aerospace & Defense industry
- Experience with sourcing and recruitment marketing tools a plus
- Recruiting or HR certification
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to consult and negotiate
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Experience with data entry and records management
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to deadlines
- Professional demeanor and positive attitude
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Must be able to work in-office during regular working hours, Monday through Friday.
- Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Periodic travel to recruiting and/or tradeshow events.
