Middle/High School Spanish Instructor

Spirit Lake Community School (shared with Harris Lake Park) seeks a Spanish teacher for the 2025-26 school year.  

Spirit Lake Schools is searching for a passionate Spanish teacher to join our team for the 2025-26 school year. The position is currently a shared position, teaching middle school students in Spirit Lake Schools and High School students in Lake Park. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to student learning and excellent interpersonal communication skills to build strong relationships with students, staff and parents. Applicants should possess the ability to teach oral and written Spanish through a variety of instructional strategies and effectively tailor lesson plans to meet individual student needs. Candidates should also possess the ability to inspire passion for the language in their students, as well as integrate 21st Century Skills into their instruction.  Licensure through the Iowa BOEE is required. 

The district is open to long term substitutions for second semester or other arrangements as needed for desired applicants. There are also numerous opportunities for coaching and extra curricular activity supervision opportunities available within our district.
